Idhua
Idhua is a continent surrounded by the Salian Sea. At its heart lies the Forest, whose vast, ancient trees shelter many secrets and whose leaves whisper of mystery and enchantment. Fourteen kingdoms lie about the margins of the Forest, each with their own customs and languages and each with their own stories of the Forest.
Fjalland
Fjallind is in the north-west corner of Idhua. A country of rugged mountains and equally rugged coastlines, its inhabitants are a fierce and hardy folk. The Fjallisk are known for their fine horses as well as their fast, sleek dragon-prowed ships.
Lendhlay
Lendhlay is bordered on two sides by the great Forest and on the third side by Fjallind. A tight clan structure makes Lendhlay difficult to gain access. Lendhlay has the most complex and powerful system of magic in Idhua, however it is shrouded in secrecy to outsiders.
Ariceda
Ariceda is one of the largest countries in Idhua and its people are a mix of early Seldu tribes, the northern Fjallisk, the southern Ocillians, and many others drawn to its rich farmlands and prosperous cities.
Souvin
Souvin lies in the south-west of Idhua and thought it encompasses an area of the mainland, most of its culture and importance come from its Island territories to the south. Souvin's monarchy lies in the female line and much of its culture is matriarchal.
Ocilla
Ocilla is very proud of its Ocillian heritage and adopted the Imperial Eagle for its flag as a reminder of its past. Having successfully rebuilt Imperial aqueducts and irrigation systems, Ocilla's agriculture is made possible by the remnants Imperial infrastructure.
Lorgress
Lorgress was center of the Ociallian Empire and the birthplace of Daletha, and a long, influential history. One the most populous countries, it is an important route for shipping and is a center for learning and the arts.
Eonia
The kingdom of Eonia is an archipelago in the south-east of Idhua, comprised of thirty-two islands and over fifty other islets. Eonia was one of the founding members of the Allied Kingdoms and is the primary seat of the Ánadine Church.
Donan
Donan is a small country above Lorgress and just below and across the Straits of Keffir from Hynovia. Donan was as the primary manufacturing area of sylphyl during the Ocillian Empire.
Orin
Orin lies on the western central cost of Idhua. Unusually, it counts parts of the Forest within its borders. According to legend, St. Florés rode a unicorn and drew the Forest into the Kingdom of Rheme, protecting it from the invading Ocillian army.
Hynovia
Hynovia was once the center of the Hynovian Empire, which extended from the Avarran border in the north to the upper part of the Lorgran peninsula in the south, and included the Eonian archipelago. Hynovia has a fairly dry climate and its cycles of rain and drought are of constant concern to its agricultural community.
Provaira
Provaria's largest territory is the Gazra Plateau - a high, dry desert with Mount Yessar at the middle of it's rolling expanse. Much of Provaria's population is nomadic, grazing herds on the Plateau during the wet season and returning to the river valley during the dry.
Avarra
Avarra is a large country in the center of the eastern coast of Idhua. Encompassing vast tracts of woodland, wide plains, fertile valleys and several major rivers, Avarra has a great wealth of natural resources.
Tav'uran
Tav’uran is the most isolated country in Iduha due to the nature of its people. They are descended from exiles, who fled the Land of the Hundred Gods due to the Demon Wars. The Tav'urisk bloodline retains the magic which attracts the demons and thus there is an ongoing struggle between demon and human.
Vanovsk
Vanovsk is a large land of high mountains and long deep river valleys. However, long, harsh winters and short summers make the population a small but hearty one. Traditionally, it is ruled by boyars who owe allegiance to the king, but are relatively autonomous in their own fifes.
The Teeth
A traitorous region of rocks in the sea between Fjallind and Vanovsk. Svethan Dorinsor of Fjallind charted the way through and established the first settlement in what became Vanovsk. To the north of the Teeth is the Ring of Storms, an area of magical disturbance that is impossible to sail through.
The Forest
The mysterious Forest lies at the heart of Idhua. Every country, except for Eonia and Hynovia, share a border with the Forest. These borders teem magic and the people who live along them have various ways of dealing with the wonderful, dangerous effects of the Forest.
